BB24 is a two-track EP built from field recordings made in Brussels, Belgium, and Paris, France, in the Spring of 2024. It focuses on how sound reflects and reshapes collective spaces. Bruxelles 24 uses recordings from the Zinneke Parade in Brussels, Belgium, on June 1, 2024. This biannual procession is driven by collaboration between neighborhood groups, artists, community organizations, schools, and activists. The display includes makeshift floats, costumes, dance, and sound, in a dynamic presentation of social architecture.Belleville 24 originates from field recordings gathered in Belleville, Paris, a district historically marked by immigration, labor, and ongoing social transformation. The layering process makes the original recordings indistinguishable from the final form, not to obscure them, but to echo the subsuming nature of sonic space, where voices, engines, and the lives of individuals bleed into one another.
